Guffanti's standards--a new low

How low have Guffanti's professional ethics and personal standards fallen? We can see that today in the comment section following an article in the NCTimes about Jim Gibson running for Oceanside City Council. Read the article here:

Here is his post word for word including starting with his self identification as "Dr. Guffanti wrote":

Dr. Guffanti[-] wrote on Sep 30, 2008 7:19 PM:Gibson brought peace and unity to a board that had been divided for 8 years. Herrera was displaced as president and got her feathers ruffled. She also voted against opening the new high school at any different site. If Herrera had been willing to compromise the high school would be running by now. It isn't open because the district ran out of money to run it. We are hoping the money will be available in 2009.

Can you imagine any other elected official publicly criticizing a fellow member of their board or city council on a blog? He did not do it privately. He did not do it in closed session. No he did it publicly. Of course every word of the above is a lie. See the previous post "Guffanti wastes 25 million taxpayer dollars."

Guffanti just does not get it. He does not know how to interact in a positive or effective way with his fellow humans. He is famous for his bursts of anger and his threats to fist fights with people he disagrees with often to the surprise of those he screams at. Comments not directed at him can send him lurching off into tirades.

It is rumored that his frequent changes of jobs as a physician have to do with his inability to get along with others. I have heard from two sets of people that he physically punched out an older doctor he disagreed with either at a medical setting in Barstow or Palm Springs. I am still tracking down those rumors. However I have personally witnessed him jumping up out of his seat on the VUSD board and threatening to assault an audience member who was commenting to the board. His actions were so suprising that the audience gasped in amazement.

We were all totally shocked, not just for the outrageous inappropriateness of it. For no matter what crazy thing an audience member might occasionally rant responsible board members just let them talk out their three minutes and ignore them. But in this case that we witnessed, the audience member was talking in a quiet unemotional voice calmly criticizing a minor point having to do with a board decision. There was absolutely no provocation of Guffanti and no reason to think he would take offense. His outburst was sudden, shocking, and way out of proportion to what was being said. The outburst was just plain weird.
