Guffanti and Anderson Science Deniers

END OF FACT BASED SCIENCE IN VUSD?

Will Patty Anderson and Dr. Stephen Guffanti advocate and promote FACT based science curriculum in VUSD should they be elected?

GUFFANTI DENIES SCIENCE

We know the answer about Guffanti. He is a science denier by his own admission. See TALES FROM THE EVOLUTIONARY WAR

If you go to the site to read it yourself, his infamous anti-evolution statement is found quite a way down the list. Don't get impatient just keep scrolling down.

SCIENCE QUESTIONS FOR GUFFANTI AND ANDERSON

Besides the question of evolution, will Anderson and Guffanti allow children to learn about other FACT BASED science such as the human factor in global warming? the multitude of ways to find out the earth's great geologic age (4.55 billion years)? radiometric age dating of rocks? red shift method of determining the age of the universe? chemistry that indicates the age of the earth and changes that have occurred over time?

QUESTIONS FOR PATTY ANDERSON

Here is a question for Patty Anderson--
Since you have allied yourself with the science denier, Dr.Stephen Guffanti, both politically and financially by accepting campaign money from him both in the 2006 and 2008 campaign; will you deny science as he has? How do your views of science differ from Guffanti's denial of scientific facts, evidence, and theories? Do you accept the evidence for human contribution to global warming? The evidence for the 4.55 billion year old age of the earth? The 13.6 billion year old age of the universe? The evidence for the Big Bang origin of the universe? The evidence that natural selection is chiefly responsible for the great diversity of life on our planet? The evidence that shows that life on earth has changed in form and species over time? The evidence that disproves that there was every a world wide flood? The overwhelming physcial, geological, radiometric and chemical evidence that the earth is far, far, FAR older than 6 to 10.000 years? Will we here creationist attacks on science from you? (for example: 'teach "both" sides, intelligent design, no dogmatic teaching of science, let the children decide) Will you encourage "faith" based science and history being taught in our PUBLIC school classrooms?

GUFFANTI REGULAR SPEAKER AT SCIENCE DENIER CONFERENCES

Dr. Stephen Guffanti is a regular speaker at anti-science conferences such as Georgia Home Educator Association. Other speakers at this conference were from Creation Ministries, as well as the infamous science deniers, Ken Ham (Kentucky Museum of Creation) and Rob Carter (Hitting Evolution where it hurts).

Guffanti has said the following in Tales from the Evolution War:

"I would love to see somebody stand up and say, 'OK, here's evolution. It's survival of the fittest with genetic mutations that generate new species'—something just that simple," Guffanti said. "Because once they say that, just look at the numbers and you'll begin to realize that that doesn't work out very well."

That statement is online and can be googled.

PATTY ANDERSON NEVER HAS STATED HER SUPPORT FOR FACT BASED SCIENCE

Patty Anderson has NEVER said she will advocate for FACT based science including evolution, the 4.55 billion year old age of the earth, or the 13.6 billion year old age of the universe. She teaches Marine Biology. Does she teach about the nearly complete fossil sequence of a four legged land mammal evolving into whales and dolphins. There are at least ten transition fossils in that sequence. Does she mention it in class or do her COLLEGE students spend their time gluing paper onto rocks as one of her Palomar students complained in an on line evaluation?

Shouldn't’ the voters in VUSD know how Patty Anderson's views differ from the anti-evolution views of Dr. Stephen Guffanti?
