NCTimes not playin' fair

NCTIMES VIOLATES ITS OWN RULES FOR GUFFANTI SUPPORTER

On Tuesday of this week Jill Parvin a supporter of the ANTI education slate was allowed to post a letter to the editor endorsing that slate. Here:

Yesterday Jill Parvin was allowed to have a forum on the opinion page--only two days in between essentially the same opinion by the same community member on the editorial pages of the NCTimes. Read second one here: http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2008/10/16/opinion/commentary/z13c33839a3f05601882574e2006e5826.txt#blogcomments

The North County Times has had an editorial page rule for many years that a two week window is kept between publishing opinions from the same community member. I guess the rules only apply to the opinions of people that do not promote the NCTimes favored political candidates.

Also Stephen Guffanti was allowed a published letter to the editor on Wednesday endorsing the ANTI public education candidates. Read it here:

NCTIMES REFUSES TO PUBLISH THIRTY PRO-PUBLIC EDUCATION LETTERS

I know that OVER THIRTY letters to the editor from at least thirty different community members have been mailed to the letters editor in the last three weeks supporting the PRO-public education candidates: JAKA, CHUNKA, AND LILLY. Odd that not one of the Pro-public education candidates letters was acceptable to publish.

If you believe a community paper should serve the interests of all members of the community, then, please complain loudly and often to Pattie Leipert, letters editor, (call 433-7333, ask for Leipert) about this obvious and unfair bias.
